Basketball

• A few days after you register, you will receive an email containing a SignUpGenius invitation and an access code to schedule your child(ren)’s evaluation.
• Create a SignUpGenius account and schedule your child(ren)’s evaluation.  You must use the same email address you used to register.  Enter one child’s name per slot.  Basketball evaluations are on Tuesday, October 18 (6:00 - 8:00), Thursday October 20 (6:00 - 8:00), and Saturday, October 22 (1:00 - 3:00).  Sessions are scheduled every 15 minutes.  All basketball players must attend one session.
• Attend your child(ren)’s evaluation session at the scheduled time.  Evaluations are held in the Dallas First UMC Family Life Center (Building B) - Gym.
• Each player will participate in drills for the following three skills: shooting, dribbling, and defensive slides.
• Parent Contracts will be distributed at the evaluations and must be signed by a parent/legal guardian. Registrations will not be complete until the signed Parent Contract is received by the League Directors.
• If you did not pay the registration fee during online registration, you can pay at the evaluation with cash, check or card.
• Registration is complete when a player has attended an evaluation session, the registration fee has been paid, and the Parent Contract has been signed.  Players will not be placed on a team until their registration is complete.
• Coaches will contact their teams by phone, text or email the week of October 31, 2022.  They will tell you the practice day and time.
• Practices are one hour a week and will be held on Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday at 6:00 pm or 7:00 pm.  You will have the same practice day and time all season.
• If a coach does not contact you by November 4, 2022 please contact the League Directors at [email protected].
• Practices start the week of November 7 and the first games are Saturday, November 19.  All basketball practices and games are in the Dallas First UMC Family Life Center (Building B) - Gym.  No practices, workouts, conditioning, meetings, team parties, etc. are to be held off campus.  If you are contacted about an off-campus event, please notify the League Directors.
• Uniforms will be distributed during the first and/or second week of practice - prior to the first game.

Cheer

• After the registration deadline of September 30, you will receive an email containing the Parent Contract.  Email confirmation that the Parent Contract was received must be sent from a parent/legal guardian to [email protected] by October 22, 2022.  Registration will not be complete until confirmation is received by the League Directors.
• If you did not pay the registration fee during online registration, please contact us to arrange payment by October 22, 2022.
• Registration is complete when the registration fee has been paid and email confirmation of the Parent Contract has been received by the League Directors.  Cheerleaders will not be placed on a squad until their registration is complete.
• Coaches will contact their squads by phone, text or email the week of October 31, 2022.  They will tell you the practice day and time.
